Trends in Research and Innovation in the Context of Computer Science

Society’s present challenges call for innovation. Digitalisation and fact-based research are key to this development.

This course is offered at the interface of applied research, innovation and digitalisation with a focus on topics such as artificial intelligence, governance and protection.

The course "Trends in Research" consists of three main parts:

  • Theoretical Part: Information about current research and innovation trends
  • Practical Part: Development of project ideas and/or prototypes, e. g. with 3D Printing
  • Exercise Part: Present your current research ideas to a broad audience at a training conference

Costs and Practical Matters

For the physical stay at the St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences, students will pay approx. € 270,00 to cover costs for accommodation (Saturday, 15 April 2023 – Friday, 21 April 2023, 6 nights). Students will be accommodated in the Guest House Sportzentrum Niederösterreich. Students will stay in triple or quadruple bedrooms, including breakfast. The prizes for the accommodation will be determined by the length of the physical part of the BIP.

Students will pay € 21,20 Austrian Students’ Union fee (= ÖH-Beitrag) in cash at the registration on Monday, April 17. This will provide them with personal accident and liability insurance via the ÖH during their stay in Austria.
